The Live Butterfly Garden is pretty cool, our 7 year old grandson loved it. We went online and ordered the Larvea and they arrived within a couple days. They soon started spinning their cocoons and we were off, within no time we had the little butterflies flying around the Garden. We released them and are ready to order more Larve. My 9 month old got her thumb stuck under the short handle when this toy was in the upright position! She was screaming & her little thumb was stuck for 5 minutes until her dad and I could figure out how to get it out! I put this toy together myself and it was put together correctly. Her thumb could be broken; her doctor said there is not much you can do for a broken baby thumb if it is indeed broken. Hopefully she will not lose her thumbnail, but it is crushed and very discolored. Save your child the possibility of what my baby endured this afternoon. Do not buy this toy!

Buying & Cleaning Baby Bath Toys

Bath time is typically a fun time for most babies. Children typically love to splash in the bath and play with bath toys, as the toys are usually the best part of the bath. While it is a good idea to have bath toys for your baby, parents and caregivers must be careful when choosing the proper bath toys.

Your child may want to bring their favorite doll or metal truck into the bath, but this is never a good idea. These toys tend to sink, which can be dangerous to your child. If the toy sinks, your son or daughter is likely to go down into the water to search for the toy. Your child may be so brazen as to completely submerge his or hers head into the water, which can lead to them swallowing or choking on water. This not only is a problem in the present, but can create a fear of water that may last for a lifetime.

It is a good idea to keep a separate set of approved, floating bath toys in a box away from your child's regular toys. You can buy these toys in children's toys, but be sure they float in water and are approved for babies. By separating the toys your child will learn that these toys are exclusively for bath time, and they will soon grow accustomed to this idea. This process may also help to get a fussy child into the bath, because they will realize they will get to play with the special toys and may become more inclined to bathe.

While bath toys make bath time a fun time for children to enjoy bathing, you must remember that these toys spend most of their time in soapy water. Even though these toys spend all this time in the water, they still need cleaning. Water and soap can build up on the toys and cause them to sour, so you must clean the toys on a regular basis.

Gather all of the bath toys together in one place and fill the sink with the hottest water you can get out of your tap. While the water is running, squeeze some dish soap under the running water. Dish soap is the safest soap to use for cleaning the toys, as it is non-toxic and will be safe if your child put their toys in their mouth. Use a washcloth and scrub each toy as it sits in the water. Be sure to clean the insides and clean each small crevice. Let all of the toys sit in the hot soapy water for at least 5 minutes.

Once you have cleaned each toy, empty out the sink water and rinse each toy with hot water. Lay each toy on a towel on a flat surface to dry. Make sure each toy is dry before you give them to your child to play with. Following this process at least once or twice a week will ensure your child is playing with clean toys free of debris and germs.

Our son got this for his 1st Birthday and plays with it all day long. He loves trying to fit the pieces in, although at this age really has no idea that he is supposed to match them. I think its great that even if they don't get a "proper" match, it still plays a silly song and allows them to have fun. The song is a little annoying, but as long as he is playing with it I know he is having fun and is staying out of trouble.

I called the fisher-price customer service line to ask if this product contained bisphenol-a (deemed toxic recently by Canada) and they refused to answer stating the content was a trade secret and spouting off a rehearsed line stating that the FDA had not found reason for concern about this type of plastic (in the two major studies conducted by them that were, surprise, funded by the plastics industry). I thanked them and bought something else, the Melissa and Doug stacker made of wood and lead-free paint. Fisher-price, shame on you for not being upfront about this. Get used to the question because American consumers are getting educated about this possible very dangerous plastic in our children's toys, baby bottles, Nalgene bottles and lining 95% of the canned food and soda we drink. If you aren't already aware of this danger, educate yourself and find out why Europe and Canada are removing it from food products and children's products.

Ladybug sister already has a small size so narrowly never be up for 4 years old always stealing - in fact the biggest problem we have with that is that our native sons to fight over it! Add more of both of these very good - they were often (several times a day) and regular parade and races. Larger sizes are perfect for four years older and a smaller size perfect for a second Iyears, but I almost seven years at a large cattle twice a week and take time to spin. They can change within a fun and friendly and perabotan box (they can more quickly turn it to avoid obstacles sepeser). They are very strong and well made and a small horn moves and really cute. A little expensive but really qualified, they stand to use a hard and is very fun and they do not sit in the box and collect dust. Great for developing motoric skills. My baby takes one ring in each hand and tries to bang them together or shake them above her head. Cant wait for her to actually put the stack together....

We bought this for our daughter when she was 8 months old (she's now 11 months). It is one of those toys that sits by itself and collects dust. It doesn't seem to be very sturdy and the base of it is a bit difficult to switch from a walker to a rider. They need to design some sort of control (like a brake) to slow down how fast it moves once your child is behind it using it as a walker. Our daughter busted her lip while using this product because of the lack of control with the wheels and the fact that it isn't very sturdy. I wouldn't recommend this product at all.
